Helwan factory for developed industries was established in 1978 as one of The Arab Organization for Industrialization "A.O.I" units. Helwan factory was working in the field of Helicopter production and maintenance.
Also, Factory production varies to include several of civil and military fields. Helwan's workshopes are supplied with central conditioning systems, fire protection systems, doubledoors to protect from dust. Helwan Factory was established in 1978 as a joint-venture company between AOI & Westland Company (British) for Helicopter production (LINKS model).
The joint-venture company became the Helwan Factory for Developed Industries in July 1994.
