Within the framework of the Arab Organization for Industrialization’s interest in strengthening partnerships and opening new areas for investment, Major General. Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, stressed the implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to localize the latest technologies, reduce imports, and provide national products under the slogan “Made in Egypt.”
This came during the signing of a memorandum of understanding and a cooperation protocol between the Arab Organization for Industrialization and Gama Construction Company, one of the Tringle Group companies, in the presence of Lieutenant General Mohab Mameesh, the official representative of the company.
In this regard, Major General. Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif explained that cooperation with Gama Construction Company comes within the framework of the national program to replace local imports to reduce the state’s import bill and increase annual Egyptian exports to 100 billion dollars in accordance with Egypt’s vision for sustainable development 2030, pointing out that The interest of the Arab Organization for Industrialization in plans for modernization and technological development in all areas of manufacturing, in order to achieve the goals of the new republic.
He added that the Arab Organization for Industrialization is keen to establish fruitful strategic partnerships, and looks forward to enhancing cooperation with Gama Construction Company, in implementing a petrochemical industry complex in the Arab Republic of Egypt, according to the latest smart manufacturing technologies and mechanisms, to meet the needs of the local market, as well as export to African and Arab countries.
He stated that the project is being built on an area of approximately 500 acres (3 phases), and includes 11 specific factories, and the implementation period will take 5 years, with investments amounting to 5 billion US dollars, with annual revenues amounting to 6 billion US dollars, with a production capacity of 4.6 million tons annually, pointing out that The project provides 2,000 direct job opportunities, and it is intended that the project implementation coalition include international partners with experience in the petrochemical industries, with the participation of international financing institutions to provide foreign exchange for the implementation of the project.
In a related context, the Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization indicated that cooperation with Gama Construction Company includes the field of new and renewable energy projects, solar energy plants and electricity networks, pointing to strengthening cooperation in various national and development projects locally and abroad.
For his part, Lieutenant General Mohab Mameesh, the official representative of Gama Construction Company, expressed his pride in cooperating with the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the industrial backbone of the Egyptian state, and its expertise in various manufacturing and human capabilities in accordance with international quality systems, pointing out its distinction in completing all areas of cooperation with the required efficiency and the highest levels of quality and speed. In implementation and delivery at the specified times, as well as after-sales service.
He added that this cooperation will represent a great addition to the Egyptian economy, especially since we will work to design and manufacture products with Egyptian thought and creativity and with the national manufacturing capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and developing the work system in the petrochemical industry sector, and promoting new and renewable energy projects, as well as national projects.
