Major General, Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, expressed his pride in the cooperation and joint integration with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, to implement the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to transfer and localize technology in the areas of digital transformation, the development of training systems, and the development of human cadres. In the field of information and communication technology and artificial intelligence to meet all the requirements of the future of the national industry, in addition to cooperating with national and international expertise specialized in these fields.
This came during the activities of the fifth session of the Advisory Council of the Academy for Industry, which was held at the headquarters of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, under the title "Artificial Intelligence and the Future of National Industry".
The opening session, chaired by Prof. Dr. "Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag," President of the Academy, witnessed the presence of Major General A.H. Eng. "Mokhtar Abdel Latif," President of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and Prof. Dr. "Alaa Abdel Bary," Vice President of the Academy for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. "Yasser El-Sonbati", Vice President of the Academy for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. "Iman Morsi", Assistant President of the Academy for Training, and a group of representatives of companies, organizations and trade unions.
During his speech, Major General., Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif, reviewed the efforts of the Arab Organization for Industrialization in various fields of industrial renaissance in accordance with Egypt's vision for sustainable development 2030, indicating that the authority pays great attention to the field of training and qualifying human cadres in all disciplines, deepening local manufacturing, transfer and localization of technology. Modern in partnership with major international companies in many areas of industry.
He expressed Arab Industrialization's aspiration to enhance cooperation and industrial integration in various fields, pointing out that the authority represents the locomotive of Egyptian industry and is interested in linking scientific research to industry and transforming research into innovative products and services that represent scientific solutions to societal problems and challenges, thus achieving a knowledge-based economy and localizing industry.
He explained that the Arab Organization for Industrialization had an early vision of interest in digital transformation and artificial intelligence and keeping pace with rapid technological developments, pointing out that the organization has worked in this field on three axes, with huge investments, which is the first axis that includes building the capabilities of human cadres inside and outside the organization, in the field of smart manufacturing and transformation Al-Raqmi, where the authority established a training academy with the aim of qualifying engineers, technicians, and students of colleges and engineering institutes to absorb and apply technologies, software, and applications of artificial intelligence, by implementing training programs by certified trainers from major international specialized companies.
He stated that the second axis includes the modernization and development of manufacturing capabilities and providing them with the latest technological capabilities of machines and devices that keep pace with the requirements of the fourth industrial revolution, in a way that contributes to deepening the local manufacturing of products.
He pointed out that the aspects of the third axis include the development of production lines and the establishment of smart factories that operate with an automatic control system for industrial systems, to localize new advanced industries.
In this context, Major General Engineer "Mokhtar Abdel Latif" affirmed the authority's interest in cooperating with universities and research centers to qualify their employees in the field of artificial intelligence applications, expressing his appreciation for the cooperation with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and the English University of (UCLan) to qualify a group From the young engineers of the Authority on the techniques of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
He referred to what the Arab Organization for Industrialization has done in terms of qualifying workers, developing and updating technological capabilities and manufacturing software, and the importance of this in contributing to a pivotal and effective role in deepening the local manufacturing of products and localizing new industries, explaining that the Arab Organization for Industrialization is currently establishing a center of excellence in the field of artificial intelligence at the AOI’s Academy in cooperation With the Chinese company Huawei, with the aim of qualifying and training human cadres on how to implement various applications of artificial intelligence in the industrial field and others.
For his part, Prof. Dr. "Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag" welcomed the attendees, expressing his happiness at the start of the meetings of the Academy's advisory council in its fifth session, and said: "The Advisory Council is a distinguished day during which we review what the Academy has achieved, and also discuss the ideas that will be presented and how to benefit Of which".
Abdel Ghaffar talked about the distinguished status that the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport has become among local, regional and international universities, pointing out that it is now one of the largest universities in the region, in terms of the number of its faculties, academic programmes, scientific centers and institutes, and its branches.
Abdel Ghaffar emphasized the importance of continuous development in light of the rapid and successive global challenges, including digital transformation and artificial intelligence technologies, indicating that the Academy's Advisory Council is the link between the academic and industrial communities, for the purpose of continuous development in the educational process, in light of contemporary challenges. As well as the requirements of the labor market, with the aim of the academy graduate being able to compete in the local, regional and global labor markets.
For her part, Dr. Iman Morsi, Assistant President of the Academy for Training, confirmed that the Academy's advisory board is the link between the industrial community, represented by companies and agencies, and various educational entities, whether engineering, marine, medical and administrative.
She added that the Advisory Council of the Arab Academy hosts more than a group of specialists, industrialists and success partners, representing various industrial entities, and in the presence of an integrated system that includes 14 colleges representing all disciplines, which reflects the integration of entities.
Within the framework of the activities of the Advisory Council, the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and the English University of (UCLan ) signed a tripartite agreement to enhance areas of cooperation. Professor Dr. "Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag" and on the part of UCLan University, Dr. "Ahmed Helmy Onsi".
On the sidelines of the participation, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport was honored with the participation of Major General A.H. Engineer "Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, in the academy's celebration of the graduation of a new batch of postgraduate graduates holding master's and doctorate degrees in business administration
